I can go page by page and develop a solid comic this way and add other montage elements. The ability to work dynamically with materials, sound effects windows, masking and color make this a natural for me. The detail and crispness of the line is maintained – and I think that’s why it has now become the go to tool. Unlike Comic Life (which always seems out of focus to me), the sharpness of line in MS5 is unparalleled. The panel layout options with masking has always been one of the strongest features alongside the dialogue and balloon generator. In the last 5 years, it has grown up a lot and offers a lot of new support elements that it lacked in the past. I have used the previous iterations of this software and always appreciated the dexterity and flexibility of the program. I had to make a decision on comic formatting and decided to go with MS5 (Clip Studio 5).
